FOSREC aims to establish new collaborative partnership with public and private sectors to join forces in developing advanced technology for food safety research. FOSREC will also bring much exposure and reputation to UPM through research, training and educational efforts that address timely and relevant issues that impact the public.
- Enhance the scientific knowledge and practices in food safety throughout the supply chain.
- Assess the microbiological and chemical food safety risk and develop tools to detect the risk
- Develop the strategy in the reduction of food chemical contaminants and food pathogens
- Broaden the research opportunities in food safety for under-graduate and post-graduate students at Universiti Putra Malaysia
- Promote collaborative research efforts related to food safety and risk assessment
- Promote the development of private and public partnerships
